Chicago parking tickets can now be eliminated after chapter 7 bankruptcy.
The City of Chicago has a new program enacted in 2019 which will help eliminate traffic tickets. If your tickets are more than 3 years old, and receive a chapter 7 bankruptcy discharge, the City of Chicago will clear out traffic tickets, including the doubling, late fees, penalties etc.t!! If your traffic tickets are within the last 3 years, you can get onto a repayment plan for just for the actual amount of the ticket, none of that doubling, tripling, penalties, fines, extra stuff they tack on. This program covers traffic tickets in Chicago, such as parking tickets, red light camera violations and moving violations.
As of January 1, 2019 you are now able to eliminate traffic tickets with the city of Chicago once you file a chapter 7 bankruptcy. Yes, you heard me right. Previously you had to file chapter 13 bankruptcy, get on a 3 to 5 year repayment plan. Not anymore.
No longer do you need to pay $4000 for a chapter 13 bankruptcy attorney plus a repayment plan for 3 to 5 years. Leeders Law can do it a lot cheaper with a chapter 7 and get you back on track a lot quicker with a chapter 7 bankruptcy.
